Freelance curator, writer and activist. Teaches at the HKU, academy for visual arts, Utrecht, and lectures at different institutions, both national and international.

Currently prepares a large exhibition, titled Niet Normaal · Difference on Display. Concept and preparation of this internationally oriented project; representing people with disabilities and chronic illness. Venues are in negotiation and will be published soon. Presentations and expert meetings at BAK, Utrecht (in collaboration with Maria Hlavajova).

Internationally credited projects: I + the Other, Art and the Human Condition (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam, 1994), Beyond Ethics and Aesthetics / Voorbij Ethiek en Esthetiek (SUN, 1997), Encountering the Culture of the Norm (De Geuzen, Amsterdam, 2000), Place Position Presentation Public, seminar and publication, Jan van Eyck Academy Maastricht, 1992.

Director of the DeCenter. Center of Neuro Divers Cultures, 2001. Head Studium Generale at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht and curator of several symposia and exhibitions, 1988-2000. Worked at the Van Abbemuseum 1986, Eindhoven, directed the exhibition-space Aleph 1986-1988, Almere. Studied Art History and Philosophy at the University Utrecht, graduated on the development of Modernism in Europe, Holland (publication/exhibition 1985: Janus de Winter, the mystic painter).
